Colorado High Risk Maternity & Newborn Program

A comprehensive program serving the special care needs of high risk pregnancies and newborns

Nothing can be scarier than to learn that you or your unborn child are facing medical problems. This is an important time to learn all that you can about the medical conditions facing you and to make the best decisions possible about your care and the care of your baby.

The University of Colorado Hospital, The University of Colorado School of Medicine and The Children's Hospital have joined together to offer you a unique program and comprehensive care that is unmatched in the state of Colorado.

Our specialists in high risk pregnancy and neonatal medicine are part of a team of internationally recognized physicians, specializing in maternal, fetal and newborn care.

Mothers and babies referred to our program have access to more pediatric and adult medical specialties than any other hospital in the Rocky Mountain region, to optimize both maternal and infant outcomes.

Our medical staff includes physicians who are board-certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Pediatrics (including pediatric surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric neurology, and The Children’s Hospital Heart Institute), Genetics, and Neonatology.

Members of our team work together with referring providers, to support the needs of the whole family, before and after the birth of their baby. Our mother and baby care teams work diligently to provide our patients with the best medical care available, in a supportive and friendly environment.

For your convenience, we offer high risk clinics across the state of Colorado, so you have access to our services close to home.
