Children’s Emergency Care locations are there for you when more serious health problems arise or you need pediatric healthcare experts, fast. At The Children’s Hospital, our healing goes well beyond medicine. We do whatever it takes to make kids physically and emotionally comfortable, so they can heal faster and get home sooner. Specialists in pediatric emergency medicine are accessible 24-hours a day as well as pediatric emergency resources, including radiology, laboratory, anesthesiology and surgery. Level I Regional Pediatric Trauma Center

There is no better place for the care of a critically ill or injured child than a pediatric trauma center. The Children’s Hospital main campus is the only dedicated Level 1 Regional Pediatric Trauma Center in the Rocky Mountain Region. A broad team of specialists are available 24 hours a day. Flight For Life Transport

The Children's Hospital partners with St. Anthony's Hospital, a part of the Centura Health System, and St. Anthony’s Flight For Life team to provide emergency flight transport for the region’s pediatric trauma patients. The Children’s Flight For Life team is accredited by the International Commission for the Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems and is the only pediatric transport team in the region. Child Abuse Services

The Kempe Child Protection Team is an important service at The Children's Hospital, providing clinically-based resources for training, consultation and evaluation of all forms of child abuse and neglect. The team provides expert evaluation and consultation when a concern of non-accidental trauma (NAT or child abuse) arises. The team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for consultation or referral. Learn more about Child Abuse services and programs.

Safety Outreach Programs

Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute

The Rocky Mountain Kiwanis Foundation is reaching out to children and families with the development of the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute at Children's. The Institute's mission of prevention, education and research brings a level of commitment not previously available to children in the region.

Denver Metro SafeKids Coalition

Led by The Children's Hospital, the mission of the Denver Metro SafeKids Coalition is to join with other agencies and individuals to identify and prevent injuries in children ages fourteen and younger in the metro areas through education, research, advocacy and media.
