Pediatric Trauma Program at The Children’s Hospital

There is no better place for the care of a critically ill or injured child than a pediatric trauma center, and The Children’s Hospital's main campus is the only dedicated Level 1 Regional Pediatric Trauma Center in the Rocky Mountain Region.

Each year between 20-25% of all children sustain an injury severe enough to require medical attention.  The top causes of admission to The Children's Hospital Trauma Center are falls, automobile accidents, non-accidental trauma (child physical abuse), and bicycle accidents. We are here to help your child heal and get back to the business of being a kid as quickly as possible. Learn more about how you can help prevent childhood injuries and keep kids safe.

The Children's Hospital has treated patients from Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Missouri, Illinois, Texas and Virginia, and has consulted on pediatric trauma cases nationally.
