Children's Pumpkin Patch Event

On October 7, The Children's Hospital hosted the Third Annual Pumpkin Patch Event. The event featured volunteers from the Aurora police and fire departments delivering hand-picked pumpkins grown at Gary May’s farm, called May Farms, in Byers to patients at the hospital.
This year, May Farms donated about 200 pumpkins to the hospital to benefit the Cardiac Kids program. According to participants, the event was a chance to celebrate the season and offer patients at Children’s the chance to get out of their hospital rooms.
This year, the event also included appearances by Katie Layman and Michelle Field, the current holders of the Miss Colorado and Mrs. Colorado International titles.
