Quit the Clean Plate Club

While many parents encourage children to clean their plates at the dinner table, you may want to rely on your kids to regulate themselves. Your son may be hungrier one day than he is the next due to exercise, so pay attention to your child’s daily activity to see how it affects his appetite, and don’t force him to eat when he is not hungry.
