Continuing Nursing Education

The Children's Hospital Division of Nursing values professional development and all RN's are required to participate in continuing education activities annually.  Continuing Nursing Education activities range from one-hour unit-based programs, to 2-day conferences, to self study programs. The Children's Hospital is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Continuing Nursing Education for Healthcare Professionals

Nurses at The Children's Hospital have many opportunities for continuing professional education, both related to the professional practice of pediatric nursing, but also with interdisciplinary colleagues in medicine and other pediatric specialties.

Nursing Grand Rounds

The Children's Hospital Department of Nursing Research and Education, in conjunction with the Nursing Research Council, hosts Nursing Grand Rounds each month. A broad range of topics are presented including: research and evidence-based practice outcomes, clinical programs and nursing education topics. Unless otherwise specified, this program is held one Wednesday per month with a buffet lunch provided.  This continuing education program meets the criteria for one nursing contact hour.
